Observation deck

The Church of the Virgin Mary is one of the symbols of Dresden. The original building with the largest dome on the north side of the Alps was built in the 18th century. However, it was completely destroyed during the Allied air raids in 1945. The reconstruction of the church lasted from 1995 to 2005. The dome is topped with a forged cross. It is decorated with windows and dormers. From the inside, polychromies depicting Evangelists and Main Virtues have been reproduced.
