Augustinian Monastery

Local name: Augustiner Chorherrenstift

The former Augustinian monastery was built in the 12th century on the site of the 8th-century Benedictine abbey. In 1803, it passed into private hands, and then served as a royal residence. While visiting, pay attention to the Baroque library, room with paintings, and private rooms of King Louis II.
