St. Roch's Chapel
Local name: St.-Rochus-Kapelle
The chapel has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2002 along with part of the Middle Rhine Valley. The first building was erected by the crusaders returning from expeditions. The current chapel was designed by the architect Max Freiburg Cathedral Meckel in the neo-Gothic style. During the last two weekends in August, the eight-day "Rochusoktav" is celebrated, accompanied by a festival.
