The former headquarters of the Ministry of State Security of the German Democratic Republic (Stasi), converted into a museum, presents the structure of the secret police and ways of controlling society through wiretaps, blackmail, intimidation, and torture. One of the most interesting places is the office of Erich Mielke - the head of Stasia in 1957-1989.
