Museum für Kommunikation is an institution dedicated to various forms of communication - "From ax to smartphone", as the title of one of the permanent exhibitions says. Various forms of sending information over the last 2000 years are presented here. In 1847, a postage stamp was issued in Mauritius with the image of Queen Victoria in a blue and orange version - each with a circulation of 500 copies. To date, no more than 30 stamps have survived, which are the largest, because the rarest collector's rarity. The value of one stamp is approximately USD 1 million.
Other thematic exhibitions depict the stories and development of mail, magazine, telecommunications, radio and television. At numerous temporary exhibitions, among others, issues of media impact on the perception of time, space and distance.
