Roman Fort Saalburg

A reconstructed fort from the Roman period, which was created as protection for the paved road leading through the Taunus mountain range. In the partly reconstructed fort, there is a museum where you can see a model of the fort, dioramas depicting the life of legionnaires, and even taste Roman cuisine.
