The Mogador Theater is a Parisian musical scene that has been operating since 1919 in the 19th district. Musical performances are presented here, mainly from the classical repertoire, such as Grease, Mamma Mia !, Les Misérables or Beauty and the Beast.
The theater was established in 1913, but the outbreak of the war interrupted work on its organization. The first performance took place in 1919, and the theater was inaugurated by the American president Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Since then, the Mogador Theater stage has hosted several dozen ballet and musical performances. In addition to the permanent repertoire realized by the theater company, guest performances are also held here. In 2016, during the rehearsals for The Phantom of the Opera, a fire broke out in the theater, consuming part of the stage and the decorations. Currently, the stage is reopening.
