Also known as Hôtel de ville and Palais Rohan, it is the work of architects Joseph Etienne and Richard-François Bonfin. The neoclassical building, erected in the years 1772-1778, is still the seat of the municipal authorities. In the vicinity of the building there is a monument to Jacques Chaban-Delmas - the longest-serving (1947-1995) mayor of Bordeaux.
