The 15th-century belfry was built as a separate building to protect the cathedral of St. Andrew before the bells vibrate. The structure served residential and service functions - it was not until 1853 that an 11-ton tenor bell was installed in it. Currently, it is also a valued vantage point: stairs with 229 steep steps lead to the gallery at a height of 50 m.
