Inner Harbor Bridge
Local name: Inderhavnsbroen
The Inderhavnsbroen is an internal harbor bridge in Copenhagen. It is 180 meters long and connects Havnegade Street with the Nyhavn and Christianshavn harbor areas. It is the final stage in a series of walking and cycling routes around the port. The bridge was designed by the English design studio Studio Bednarski. Its construction lasted from 2011 to 2016.
Due to its design, Inderhavnsbroen is nicknamed the "Kissing Bridge". As ships pass beneath it, the moving parts of the bridge are retracted and then extended again. This brings to mind a kissing couple.
