Park Ladronka is located in the upper part of Prague away from the tourist crowd. Over its four-kilometer-long light-lit asphalt track, it is designed for cyclists, runners, cyclists and even ski runners in winter. The park also has a restaurant, fitness studio, beach volleyball court, sporting equipment rental, outdoor gym and children's playground.
Initially, a marl was being excavated in the area of today's park. Before the First World War the mines were depleted. The area itself was intended for the army and was used as a training ground. It was not until World War II that a park was created and its recreational character was acquired at the beginning of the 20th century.
In the park every year is held the largest in Central Europe free time festival - Ladronkafest.
