The church of Saint Maurice is a Gothic building with two asymmetrical towers. The interior rebuilt many times today has neo-Gothic features, with renaissance and baroque chapels added. In the temple you can see a valuable, late Gothic sculpture of Christ in Ogrojec. There are also some of the largest baroque organs in Europe.
The church of Saint Maurice was built in the mid-thirteenth century. However, frequent fires haunting it necessitated a complete reconstruction of the temple at the beginning of the 15th century. A Gothic hall building was created, whose naves are finished with apses. Above them is a rib vault, and above the presbytery, network.
The facade of the church is asymmetrical. The lower tower was built during the construction of the church. The second, higher and topped with the attic is later and has Renaissance features. Adjacent to it is a narrow cylindrical tower with a spiral staircase. The church's furnishings are kept in the neo-Gothic style. Only the organ and side chapels have baroque features.
