Camera obscura is a gazebo located on the Three Crosses Hill above the spa town of Karlovy Vary. It is a hexagonal, wooden, openwork building covered with a pyramid-shaped roof. You can admire the panorama of the city and the neighboring hills from here.
The name of the gazebo comes from the beginning of the 20th century. At that time there was a cafe in this place that was the destination of patients from Karlovy Vary. A small room operated by the cafe, with views of the city and the surrounding area on the walls. Such a dark room for viewing photos was called Camera obscura. After World War II, the building was destroyed, and in 1990 it was destroyed by a storm. In its place a gazebo was built, which architecture refers to the old wooden spa buildings.
