Spring Colonnade
Local name: Vřídelní kolonáda
The Kolonnade Zdrojowa is one of the many colonnades in Karlovy Vary. Includes cooled hot water outlets at 30, 50 and 72 ° C. There are various pools with a rich spa offer, restaurants, souvenir stalls and toilets. From time to time, various events and exhibitions also take place here, such as, for example, an exhibition of Czech art glass. One of the attractions is also Gejzír Vřídla shooting to a height of 12 meters.
The current version of the Colonnade dates back to the 1970s. The building with glass panels was designed by architect Jaroslav Otruba. Previously, there was a 19th-century brick colonnade here. Under the floor there is a complex machinery for pumping, distribution and thermal regulation of spring water. In the old part of the underground you will find the hiking trail under Vřídlo.
