Regional Museum

The Regional Museum in Český Krumlov is a small but thriving cultural institution. It is located in the baroque building of the former Jesuit College. There is a ceramic model of the old town occupying the entire room. You can also see exhibitions of ancient and folk art, as well as a collection of documents about the city.

The museum was founded at the end of the 19th century. At the beginning of the 21st century, it moved to a renovated building that formerly belonged to the Jesuits. His mission is to show the history and cultural heritage of Český Krumlov.

In the College building you can see the original interior of the former pharmacy run by the Jesuits along with furniture and equipment. Exhibitions located here lead through the history of the city shown in documents, paintings and photographs. In the art gallery you can enjoy paintings from the Gothic to Baroque periods. The most attention, however, is attracted by the model showing how Cesky Krumlov looked around 1800.
