Auditorium

The auditorium is an open-air theater located in the castle park in Český Krumlov. In the summer, opera, operetta and ballet performances are staged, as well as plays for children.

The auditorium was built in the mid-20th century. It uses a rococo belvedere, which serves as a backstage, and often also as an element of decoration. A circular audience with a large slope allows all viewers to receive performances equally effectively. The amphitheater is used primarily in the summer. The local theater mainly presents musical performances and children's fairy tales.
