Museum of Energy

The energy museum is located in a building standing on the site of the first municipal power plant in České Budějovice. Currently, you can watch the exhibition, where engines, turbines, transmission devices, switchboards and other equipment of former power plants are presented.

The museum was established in a place that is inseparably connected with the technical progress of České Budějovice. The former power plant not only supplied electricity to homes and industrial plants. She also supplied him with local transport, thanks to which trams appeared on the streets.

Although the building in which the museum is located has been rebuilt several times and today does not resemble the original power plant, the exhibits collected here allow to trace the changes that have occurred in the production and transmission of energy in the last century.
