In the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb you can see a rich collection of artifacts from Croatia, a large part of the exhibition are objects found in the vicinity of Zagreb. An interesting fact for visitors is the mummy of Liber Linteus from the 3rd century BC and Lumbarda Psephisma, i.e. the inscription from the 4th century BC regarding the foundation of the Greek colony on the island of Korčula.
Valuable monuments of the Archaeological Museum also include Greek vases, military equipment and statues from the Roman Empire and one of the largest numismatic collections in Europe.
Noteworthy are Etruscan monuments, especially Liber Linteus Zagrabiensis, i.e. the longest manuscript preserved in the Etruscan language to this day.
There are about 450,000 exhibits here, they were divided into several sections, such as "Prehistory", "Egypt", "Antiquity", "Middle Ages" and "Coins and medals".
