The medieval old town has been fully inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. They are surrounded by a city fortification system with 10 towers and 5 gates. Within them there are, among others churches and monasteries, the oldest pharmacy in Europe, operating since 1317, 15th-century wells and two palaces.
