Koman Ferry is a passenger ferry operated by several local companies, operating on Lake Koman in northern Albania. The line runs between the cities of Koman and Fierzë, near two municipal power plants. The ferry has become a real tourist attraction due to the breathtaking views of the mountain gorges and the specific atmosphere that prevails during the trip.
Originally, the line between the two cities served mainly the surrounding population. It was the result of building a dam and flooding a given area with water. After 2000, the area around Lake Koman gained popularity, which also aroused greater interest in crossing among arriving tourists. As a result, the old line underwent a major renovation and in 2015 began regular trips.
After reaching the shore, you can try local delicacies, go canoeing or swim in the lake. The fresh air and the surroundings of mountains, water and small villages make the Koman Lake idyllic, somewhat lazy climate, attracting tourists wanting to relax among nature.
