Jurrassic Coast
Purbeck Herritage Coast is a fragment of the so-called Jurassic Coast, which is the southern coast of England over the English Channel. The entire Jurassic Coast area has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. On the Purbeck coast, several walking routes have been marked, from 5 to nearly 22 km long. The shoreline is just over 16 km long, and the highest point is 485 meters high. Accommodation can be found in numerous guesthouses, private homes and hotels.
Nearby is Lulworth Cove, which is considered one of the natural wonders of southern England. Also noteworthy is the limestone arch called Durdle Door, which is probably around 140 million years old. You can also see numerous remains of forts and buildings from the Bronze Age.
