Royal Shakespeare Theatre
The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is one of the largest theater groups in the United Kingdom, which employs several hundred employees and prepares about 20 premieres every year. Since the beginning of its existence, the band has worked in many theaters in London - currently its headquarters is located in the Royal Shakespeare Theater building, which after general expansion in 2010 has an auditorium with 1000 seats and a smaller hall with 340 seats in the adjacent Swan Theater. The RSC team consisted of many prominent actors, including such celebrities as Kenneth Branagh, Mia Farrow, Duistin Hoffman, Jeremy Irons, John Gielgud, Peter O'Toole and Laurence Olivier.
RSC derives its roots from the legendary group in which William Shakespeare himself acted. However, the official form of commemoration of the greatest playwright of all time was the establishment of the dedicated Shakespeare Memorial Theater, which inaugurated its operations on April 23, 1879 with the premiere of "Much Noise for Nothing". In 1925, the theater became known as "royal". A year later, the theater building burned down, and his team moved to a cinema hall adapted for theatrical needs. Several years of fundraising allowed the RSC to rebuild in the fashionable art deco style. The building, which opened on Shakespeare's birthday on April 23, 1932, is still in use.
