Selfridges
Selfridges is a chain of luxury department stores in the UK, which can be found in London, Birmingham and Manchester. The founder is Harry Gordon Selfridges, an American-British entrepreneur whose life and innovative ideas gave shape to the television series Mr Selfridge.
The store in London on commercial Oxford Street was the first to open its doors to visitors on March 15, 1909. Since then, it has been the second largest in the UK. Designed by Daniel Burnham, it is also extraordinary in terms of architecture and thus attracts not only buyers, but also tourists.
Shops pride themselves on exclusive products from the top shelf, as well as the figure of the founder himself, whose motto "The customer is always right" has become a globally recognized slogan.
