Chiswick House and Gardens

Chiskwick House is an 18th century mansion, an example of Palladian architecture. There is a collection of Richard Boyle's works of art and sketches. Along the main avenue, obelisks, classical sculptures and statues of sphinxes were placed. Adjacent to the building is a garden, whose main point is the 19th-century conservatory "Camellia Conservatory". There is a collection of camellias, considered one of the oldest collections in the world, not counting those in Japan and China.

Every year, cultural events and events take place here, such as the lantern festival, circus shows and camellia shows. Workshops are also regularly organized, e.g. for Christmas.

Since its establishment, Chiswick House has hosted prominent personalities from around the world. They appeared here among others philosophers Wolter and Rousseau, American presidencies Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, as well as Giuseppe Garibaldi and two tsars: Nicholas I and Alexander I. In 1966, the Beatels made films promoting their albums.
