Victoria Park
Victoria Park, also known as Vicky Park or People's Park, was founded in the mid-nineteenth century. There are numerous alleys, playgrounds for children, sports fields and a skate park. There are two cafes in the west and east. There are also many sculptures and historical elements. fragments of Tower Bridge, dismantled during renovation in 1760.
The park was designed by James Pennethorne, a student of John Nash. He was a continuator of his teacher's concept, as seen in the similarity between Victoria Park and Regent's Park. For years, this place was known primarily from the political debates and rallies organized there, it was also identified with the East End working class. Currently, it often organizes outdoor cultural events and concerts.
