Millennium Bridge

The Millennium Bridge, also known as the London Millennium Footbridge, is a pedestrian suspension bridge connecting the banks of the River Thames at the level of the Bankside and City of London districts. Aluminum and steel were mainly used for its construction. It is 4 meters wide and measures 13 meters in height at the highest point. It consists of three spans with a total length of 325 meters, which supports eight carrying ropes.

The building was opened twice. For the first time in 2010, however, it was closed after two days due to vibrations caused by a large number of walkers. After the reconstruction, it was commissioned for the second time in 2002.

The bridge appeared in the filming of the sixth part of the adventures of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In the film, it was destroyed during the Death Eaters attack. The building also appears briefly in the film adaptation of the first part, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
