National Sea Life Centre Birmingham

The National Sea Life Center is one of the largest oceanariums throughout the UK. There are over 60 exhibitions of freshwater and marine life. Green sea turtles, sharks and tropical reef fish live in a huge 1 million liter ocean tank. They can be seen passing through the only completely transparent underwater tunnel in the country. Stingrays, octopuses and crabs are also bred here, as well as a colony of white-browed penguins.

During the tour, you can participate in feeding shows and talks about individual inhabitants of the aquarium. The facility also offers occasional parties. In addition, for groups of a minimum of 50 people there is a stay in the aquarium combined with 4D film emission and overnight stay.

The aquarium is located in a building designed by Sir Norman Foster in the vicinity. It was opened in July 1996.
