Arosa is a mountain resort and spa town in the Swiss Alps. In winter, together with the neighboring Lenzerheide valley, it creates a ski resort with over 200 km of slopes of various difficulty levels and excellent accommodation facilities.

The village is situated at an altitude of 1,800 m above sea level, at the end of a wide valley sheltered from winds. Since the end of the 19th century, it has been developing as a center of winter recreation and as a climatic resort where people are treated, among others, by lung and respiratory diseases.

In winter, the entire Schanfigg valley, where it lies, together with the neighboring Lenzerheide, forms a large ski resort. There are several dozen ski lifts and cable cars as well as 225 km of ski slopes. These include Arosa and Lenzerheide cable cars and Tsuggen and Carmenna chairlifts. Some of them, like the Weissehorn funicular and the Horli funicular, operate all year round, allowing you to get to the higher routes.

The town is surrounded by approx. 3 thousand. m above sea level, alpine peaks, on the Upper Lake along the shores of which stretches a scenic promenade. In the vicinity there is also the Squirrel Path leading through the forests, and a little higher the Bear Reserve and the Alpinum Maran Park.

Arosa's attractions primarily attract people who like outdoor activities. In summer, you can take advantage of over 200 km of hiking trails and paths. There is also a beach and recreational areas by the lake, as well as numerous sports facilities.
