The museum is located in the former monastery of the knights of Calatrava and tells the story of the Jewish past in Spain, and above all Sephardim, descendants of Jews living on the Iberian Peninsula until 1492. The place was opened in 1971 and contains a collection showing the customs, religiosity and everyday life of this community.
