At the Wax Museum (Museo de Cera) in Madrid, visitors can see wax images of the greatest movie stars, famous musicians, politicians, popular cartoon characters, and even church hierarchies. Among others, there are figures: Penélope Cruz, Antonio Banderas, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus and Barack Obama.
Children will love the wax image of Sponge Bob. Even lovers of the work of the Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa will be able to see the figure of their idol. The museum was founded in 1972. Exhibits were placed in 40 rooms on the area of 2,000 m².
Most of the sculptures were dressed in authentic costumes, donated by their prototypes, this is the case with Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Gali, Lola Flores and Miguel Induraín. The exhibition is constantly updated.
