The lighthouse is located on Cape Matxitxako on the Atlantic Ocean. The building was erected in the second half of XIX century and ceased to operate in 1909. At a distance of 100 meters there is a modern, fully automated lighthouse, equipped with radar and meteorological and oceanographic instruments.
