Urdaibai

The biosphere reserve covers the wetland area of the estuary and surrounding meadows, oak groves and forests. Over 600 species of plants grow here and over 300 species of animals live, of which 245 are birds. You can also find archaeological remains from the prehistory, ancient Rome and the Middle Ages.
