Turó de les Tres Creus is the highest hill of Park Güell in Barcelona, from which there is a beautiful view of the city. A small building called "Calvary" was set on its top, which was inspired by prehistoric architecture. Three crosses standing on it are a showcase of this place.
Gaudí originally wanted to build a chapel at this point, but he encountered unexpected difficulties. Due to the objects of great historical value discovered here, he had to stop work and limit his project to its present shape. His inspiration was, among others excavated monuments.
Park Güell is included in the register of Spanish cultural goods, and since 1984 also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Tourists can navigate it along well-marked routes that lead them to all major facilities.
