Laribal Gardens is the first public park created on the Montjuïc hill in Barcelona. Created by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier and Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí. The greenery of the gardens is diversified by sculptures, among others "Estival" in the style of art deco by Jaume Otero and numerous decorative fountains, springs and pools.
Pergolas have been placed along some alleys to give shade during walks. Vegetation typical of the Mediterranean region dominates here, guests can see an unusual roundabout made of cypress trees and flowering bitter orange trees.
Work on the gardens lasted in the years 1917-1924. The place of their establishment was the property of the Catalan journalist and lawyer - Josep Laribal Lastortras. They were to honor the International Exhibition in Barcelona. They were divided into several terraces located on different levels.
