Joan Miró Foundation

The Joan Miro Foundation is a museum of contemporary art located in Barcelona, on the slopes of Montjuic. It is devoted primarily to the work of Miro, but also exhibits here the works of young artists, primarily creating experimental art.

The museum was opened in 1975. Miro himself set up the foundations a few years earlier and gave her a large part of his work, including an almost complete collection of drawings and graphics. There are also his paintings, sculptures, artistic fabrics and ceramics. Part of the exhibition is presented outside the building.
