Illa de la Discòrdia is a complex of three buildings erected in a modernist style, located on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona. Tourists can admire the amazing designs of famous architects: Casa Lleó Morera by Lluis Domenech and Montaner, Casa Amatller by Josep Puig and Cadafalch, and Casa Batlló by Antonio Gaudi.
Casa Lleó Morera is a residential building. which can only be viewed from the outside. Its name refers to the leading motifs (mulberry, lion) used when decorating the facade. The building is from the 1860s.
Casa Batlló is a tenement house that was built in the 1870s and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The facade is covered with colorful mosaics, balconies with balustrades in fantastic shapes and a roof that resembles a dragon attract attention.
Casa Amatller, a building from the turn of the 20th century, was erected for the chocolate producer from which it is named. Attention is drawn, among others colorful stained glass.
