Parròquia de la Mare de Déu de Betlem is a baroque temple in Barcelona entered in the register of Spanish monuments. Visitors can admire here, among others sculptures at the entrance door depicting Ignacio Loyola and Francisco de Borja, by the famous baroque sculptor - Andreu Sala. During Christmas pessebres, popular cribs, are organized here.
The first temple belonging to the Jesuits was built here in the second half of the 16th century. However, during the celebrations associated with the canonization of Francesco Borgia, there was a fire, as a result of which the church burned down completely.
Another building, much more magnificent, was built in the 17th century, but its baroque interior was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War in 1936 - it was set on fire. Today's decor dates from the nineteenth century.
