The Museu de la Xocolata (Chocolate Museum) in Barcelona presents the history of this delicacy from the discovery of cocoa in South America to the present. It belongs to Gremio de Pastelería de Barcelona, a well-known chocolate producer. Visitors can see here, among others devices for making a delicious mass and figures entirely made of it.

The exhibition includes well-known chocolate buildings, among them are, among others Sagrada Familia cathedral. There are also characters from well-known literary works, e.g. Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. The history of chocolate can be traced thanks to the numerous photographs, postcards and posters gathered.

The museum runs workshops for children and adults, where you can make your own sweets. The museum store offers unusual sweet souvenirs, such as chocolate with olives and chocolate from Crema Catalana. Guests can also buy original T-shirts with inscriptions.
