The Contemporary Culture Center, popularly called CCCB, is a cultural institution located in the Raval district. It occupies a converted building of a former hospital and hospice. Temporary and permanent exhibitions related to the subject of the city, urban architecture and cosmopolitanism are presented here. There are also conference rooms, auditoriums, a library, archives and a cinema, music and stage room.
The center is one of the most visited cultural institutions in Barcelona. Its main goal is to bring the topics related to the modern city closer. Exhibitions of painting, graphics, sculpture and urban photography take place here. Documentary and experimental films are also presented. The Center conducts classes in the field of culture and art, workshops, lectures, meetings with artists. Concerts and performances are also held here.
