The Can Framis Museum was founded on the initiative of the Vila Casas Foundation, which deals with the promotion of contemporary Catalan art. Three floors are filled with the works of painters from the whole region, in total over 250 were collected here. In front of the building you can admire the sculpture by Jaume Plensy, entitled "Dell'Arte". Guided tours of the museum are organized.
The collection includes paintings that were created in the period from the 1960s to modern times. Artists that visitors could see were: Salvador Juanpere, Isidre Minilis, Carme Mariscal and Alfons Borrell.
Can Framis headquarters is located in a former wool factory operating in the 18th century in the Poblenou district. The name of the museum comes from the names of former factory owners. The permanent collection is refreshed every year, several times a year temporary exhibitions are organized here.
