Castell de Torre Baró is a building from the beginning of the 20th century, its facade is styled as a medieval building. It offers tourists a vantage point from which they can admire the city panorama.
Castell de Torre Baró was to serve as a hotel for tourists visiting the Collserola mountains. However, its construction was not completed. During the Spanish Civil War, the castle passed in turn into the hands of two warring parties, anti-aircraft guns stood in its vicinity.
After the war, the building deteriorated for many years, after a thorough renovation it was opened to tourists and became a showcase of the area.
The name was taken from the castle of Baron Pinós, destroyed in the 18th century - Baró de Pinós. Fragments of the tower of the demolished building are currently in the vicinity of the car park for guests.
