Parc Central de Nou Barris is an urban area of over 17 hectares in Barcelona. You can admire modern constructions blended in with greenery, two lakes Fabry and Puig with fountains and a small aqueduct "Dos Rius" ("Two Rivers"). About 130 species of trees grow in the park, including palm trees. Guests can relax in the local restaurant.
Two architects, Carme Fiol and Andreu Arriola, are responsible for the design of Parc Central de Nou Barris. In one of its parts there was once a psychiatric hospital, designed by Josep Oriol Bernadet. Currently, the building houses, among others the library, the city council also meets there.
In 1995, a modern building Fòrum Nord de la Tecnologia was erected in the park. It is the seat of several technology companies, there is a bar and an underground car park. The "Dos Rius" aqueduct was moved to its present location from the Can Carreras stream.
