The Carmen de Burgos promenade stretches for 2.5 km along the coast of Almeria city. It was built in 1982 and then revitalized in 2008-2018. Along it there are numerous benches where you can relax and admire the view of the sea, water fountains and several sculptures by Manuel Domínguez. The promenade is named after the Almerian writer and activist, Carmen de Burgos
