Furkotská valley
Local name: Furkotská dolina
The Furkotna Valley is located in the High Tatras near Štrbské Pleso. It is a vast glacial valley with several ponds in the upper part.
The valley is divided into five floors. It is almost 5.5 kilometers long. On its upper floors, covered with scythes and mountain vegetation, there are five glacial ponds. The largest of them is Wyżni Wielki Furkotny Pond with an area of 2 ha, lying at an altitude of 2050 m above sea level
A yellow trail runs through the Furkotna Valley to the Młynicka Valley through a chain-insured passage through the Bystra Bench. There is also a fragment of the main Tatra Bus.
