Cold Creek Waterfalls
Local name: Vodopády Studeného potoka
Zimna Woda waterfalls are located in the High Tatras, near the upper station of the cable car to Hrebienok. These are four waterfalls reaching a height of 13 meters formed on the threshold of the glacial Staroleśna Valley and Mała Ziemna Woda. The banks of the stream lead a tourist trail that allows you to view the picturesque waterfalls and surrounding mountains.
The waterfalls stretch over a 1.5-kilometer stretch of Cold Water Stream. The bottom of the stream is strewn with huge granite boulders, through which the stacked waters of the stream break through. The stream has a constant temperature around 4 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Its waters are very transparent and create staggering foamed vortices on the stone narrows.
The route along the Cold Waterfalls is very easy. Thanks to the good network of trails, you can take a short roundabout tour from the top station of the funicular to Hrebienok.
