Domica cave is located at the Slovak-Hungarian border, within the Slovak Karst. It is part of the Bradla Cave, 25 kilometers long, which is mostly on the Hungarian side. Due to the rich stalactite and traces of life of prehistoric people, the entire cave system of the Aggtelek-Slovak Karst region has been inscribed on the UNESCO list.
Domica is a karst stalactite cave. Its length is almost 5400 meters, of which approximately 1200 meters are open to tourists. There are two tourist routes in the cave, shorter, 750 meters long and longer, 1200 meters. Part of the route is overcome by boats passing the Styx underground river.
Domica Cave is known primarily for its magnificent stalactite garment. In addition to stalactites and stalagmites, you can see stalactite draperies, as well as cascading lakes called Roman baths.
