Statue of Peter Michal Bohúň

The monument to Peter Michał Bohun is located on the Danube waterfront. It depicts a painter emerging from a rock. On the monument you can see it from the height of the thighs, the rest of the characters are hidden in stone.

Peter Michal Bohun was a Slovak romantic painter. He created mainly portraits and altars for churches. He spent the last 15 years of his life in Galicia, in Lipnik near Bielsko-Biała. He is buried in the Protestant cemetery in Bielsko.
The monument was erected in 1958. Its author is Fraňo Štefunko. It depicts an elderly Bohun dressed in a frock coat and looking at the Danube.
