Bratislava City Gallery
Local name: Galéria mesta Bratislavy
Mirbach's Palace (Mirbachov Palace) is a rococo residence located in the Old Town of Bratislava. Decorated with rustication and triangular tympanum, the building now houses the Bratislava City Gallery and its collection of Baroque painting and sculpture.
The palace was built in the years 1768-1770 for Bratislava brewer Michał Spech. It took its name from the last owner, Count Emil Mirbach. It is a two-story building with two rococo decorations decorated with portals in the central part. Above them, pilasters stretch over the entire height of the building, above which lies a triangular tympanum.
The interiors include collections of Baroque paintings and sculptures. The original floor decorations on the first floor are made of dark wood, with Rococo and late-Baroque decorations.
