The Leopold Gate (Leopoldova Brana) is the entrance to the Bratislava Castle located in thick defensive walls. It is used today primarily by tourist buses entering the hill. The passage is framed by a portal with the Habsburg coat of arms cartouche.
The gate got its name from the emperor Leopold. It was built in 1674. Behind her was a bastion and a drawbridge. It was a utility gate, not adapted for representative purposes. The portal is made of white stone. Two pilasters flank the passage to the tunnel. Above the entrance there is the Habsburg coat of arms.
