Bridge SNP

The Slovak National Uprising Bridge is a modern crossing over the Danube from the center to the residential district of Petrzalka. Its characteristic element is a pylon with a saucer placed on it, in which a restaurant is located.

The bridge was built in 1967–1972. Due to the "saucer" located on the pylon, it is also called the "UFO bridge". The authors of the project were A. Tesár, J. Lacko and I. Slameň. The bridge is 430 meters long. The restaurant at the top of the pylon is located at an altitude of 80 meters. It offers a magnificent view of Bratislava and the city's surroundings. The room, which can be accessed with the help of an elevator located in the pylon, can accommodate over 400 people.
